(Micro) Cassette Tapes
Cassette tapes were a rather inexpensive way for small companies and "jobbers" to sell popular albums, in small shops, records stores, and by mail.
The popularity of record clubs in the 1970's also contributed to the flood of tapes. The archives will not attempt to show every tape ever made, but will focus on certain albums that have had many interesting artwork variations on their "J-Cards", the small paper insert added to tape cases and showing the credits, name, label, etc.
